How to use the "Snap to Grid"....

The images that are imported to the screen move in what appears to be a "jerky" fashion.  This is the 'Snap-to-Grid' facility to which the system defaults.  This movement is enabled to aid in the alignment of the images.  However, when it is necessary to 'fine tune' the alignment of, for example, the smaller overlay images, it is best to switch off the 'Snap-to-grid' facility (See : How to select the magnification required).  This is done by moving your mouse to the 'Grid' icon to the right of the bottom toolbar and clicking on it.  You will then be able to make any tiny adjustments to a design you require.  When you have finished with your "fine tuning", it is a good idea to switch the 'Snap-to-Grid' back on for any subsequent designs.  Once you close the software when you have finished designing, the system will default to 'Snap-to-Grid' when it is next re-opened.
